Eunoia Wellness Clinic

Eunoia Wellness will offer treatment for mood disorders and dysregulated eating, as well as consultation and therapy services for young adults struggling with substance abuse. The clinic will provide an abundance of environmental support for these patients and their healthcare providers through implication of controllable features, means of social support, and positive distractions (Ulrich, 1997). Focus lies in enhancing the patient experience as well as maximizing staff efficiency through increased access to daylight via horizontal windows. The space will be visually engaging and dynamic through vibrant colors and curvilinear forms. A healing garden will provide more opportunities for all users to connect with the earth and garner strength of all kinds.

The concept grounding the space is Embrace of the Sophrosyne. Sophrosyne is the ancient Greek notion of a healthy, calm state of mind. To embody this, Eunoia Wellness will be an escape from the triggers and negativity patients encounter in the outside world. Unity will be forefront, manifesting in cohesive forms, furniture, and millwork. The feeling of ‘cwtch’ will be integrated by wrapping users in natural light and a cheerful color scheme. Balance is also present in the space via a neutral field color punctuated with vibrant environmental graphics and wayfinding features. Rounded motifs throughout the space will also reinforce the idea of a comforting embrace. Views to a verdant exterior and healing garden will surround the clinic providing regenerative qualities for patients and encouraging the feeling of submersion into a tranquil garden.
